Nutrition

Nutrition is one of the most powerful tools we have to support our health in midlife. What we eat affects our energy levels, mood, sleep, muscle mass, bone health, recovery, hormones and long-term wellbeing.

The problem is that many of us have spent decades receiving the same message: eat less, cut calories, restrict yourself and lose weight. We’ve been taught to focus on what we shouldn’t eat rather than what our bodies actually need.

Honestly, that approach no longer serves us.

Midlife is not about eating as little as possible. It’s about giving your body the nutrients it needs to be strong, energised and healthy. It’s about supporting your muscles, protecting your bones, balancing blood sugar and having the energy to do all the things you want to do.

That’s why you’ll find no diets here.

No calorie counting. No detoxes. No cutting out entire food groups. No guilt.

Instead, we’ll focus on building meals around the foods that help you thrive: protein, fibre, colourful fruit and vegetables, healthy fats and plenty of water. We’ll keep things simple, realistic and sustainable because healthy eating should fit into your life, not take it over.

Combined with strength training, movement and good sleep, nutrition becomes one of the key pillars of healthy ageing.

The goal isn’t to be smaller.

The goal is to be stronger, healthier, more energised and full of vitality for the years ahead.

Check out the recipe section for meal ideas – I add to it every week so you’ll never get bored (and each recipe has plenty of protein, fibre and goodness so takes out all the guesswork)

A Diet of Abundance NOT Deprivation

My core message – but what does this actually look like?

Being Organised is Everything

Knowing what to eat and actually doing it can be two very different things. Ultimately, being able to make changes and stick to them comes down to being organised and one step ahead.
